Every year more than 150,000 people die due to lack of timely First Aid. It takes 8 minutes for an ambulance to arrive. But the human brain runs out of oxygen in under 4 minutes. What if help could be provided before that? Time is of the essence when there is a medical emergency. That’s why we created Rapid Rescue - an app that connects a First Aid seeker to a first-aider, instantly.
Housing all the 12,000 first-aiders in Singapore, once pressed by someone in distress, Rapid Rescue sends out an SOS to all the first-aiders within a 2KM radius of the victim. After a first-aider accepts the mission, the app maps out the shortest route to the victim. Thanks to Rapid Rescue, now First Aid is at the fingertips when it is needed the most.
